This design concept borrows from European heritage stone barns and fuses them with modern elements, to create a farm house with the best of both worlds, new and old.

The central living space opens to the north and south allowing the home to breath centrally and allows the occupants to be visually connected to the courtyard gardens whilst in the centre of the home.

The brief was to design a traditional style family home with stone features, that could withstand the elements, all while keeping solar passive principles the foundation of the design concept. The result was a home that takes traditional lines and form and combines it with modern elements that allow the family to be physically and visually connected to their garden and property.
